A bonus concert for season members, this will be at the same time and place as regular concerts in our series and at no extra charge. The concert is courtesy of an anonymous donor! At age 82, Marilyn is enjoying a resurgence of popularity nationwide as "the hottest cabaret performer in town." |

A guitar duo consisting of the teacher (Jerry) and the student (Grant) who were both delighted to be invited for this reunion. Jerry shares his time between K.C. and Wichita and Grant hails from Southern California where he gained fame for coming up with the theme for the TV show "Two and a Half Men". |
Deborah is a newcomer to us, a jazz singer with an international reputation and a remarkable range who calls K.C. home. She and Giacomo enjoy singing together; he will be bringing his vocalese style to Topeka for the 6th time since 2000. |
Our long-time friend from L.A., Gary Foster, is one of the best sax men in the business and the one who orchestrated our Jim Monroe Memorial concert in July, 2006. He will be joined by "Jimmy" Seeley of New York, the son of Gary's good Kansas friend, the late James Seeley of Holton. "Jimmy" is a former TJW scholarship recipient! |
Russ was a frequent and well-loved pianist for us over the years who died at the end of 2006. K.C. bassist Spaits has been presenting a moving tribute concert for Russ and will bring it to us in Topeka. |
This West Coast bassist was a good friend of Sinatra's and will have plenty of stories to share as well as the familiar and well-loved Sinatra music. |
This popular trumpet/flugelhorn player has entertained us several times with his Sons of Brasil group and now wants to share with us his love for the works of this perhaps not-so-well-known musician. |
Kim's father John Park, Kim, and Kim's wife Mary were all members of the Stan Kenton Orchestra. Kim ended up in K.C., then moved to Nashville for a couple of years, but is now back in K.C. We look forward to his beautiful tenor sax renditions. |
Drummer JEFF, pianist TAMIR HENDELMAN, and bassist CHRISTOPH LUTY will be back to close out our 42nd season in high style. |
